Wrinkle relaxer injections interrupt the messages between muscles that are responsible for facial expressions. Relaxing the muscles relieves the lines and wrinkles that form as a result of movements of the face.
You may hear wrinkle relaxers referred to as “neurotoxins,” but don’t be alarmed by the name. The ingredients in products like BOTOX® Cosmetic are purified and proven safe for localized inhibition of select muscles in the face. In the hands of a qualified, experienced injector, these injectables have low incidences of complications and high rates of patient satisfaction.
Facial fillers consist of a biocompatible material that is strategically injected into the face to replace the volume lost from aging, weight loss, and more. Many different areas of the face are suitable for filler treatment, including:

Juvederm is a recognizable name, but there are actually several different products bearing the Juvederm brand. Each Juvederm formulation consists of hyaluronic acid or HA. HA molecules play a key role in hydrating the skin, which improves elasticity and youthfulness, but the body produces less HA over time. Juvederm fillers and similar products restore hyaluronic acid to aging areas of the face.
Juvederm Ultra is the “standard” formulations of this filler, highly effective for filling fine lines in the face, as well as providing lip augmentation. The principal quality of Juvederm XC is how deep beneath the skin treatment is performed. All of the formulations contain lidocaine, a topical anesthetic that eases discomfort at the treatment sites.
Juvederm Vollure is designed to smooth moderate to significant lines and wrinkles, such as the nasolabial folds. Results of Vollure treatment can last 18 months. Our nurse injector has the training and experience to perform injections deep within the facial tissue to administer Juvederm Vollure. The injectable treatment is supervised by a plastic surgeon.
Our plastic surgeons and experienced nurse injector are dedicated to your comfort, safety, and positive outcome.

Dermal fillers and injectables from New Jersey Plastic Surgery® can help to diminish facial lines and restore volume and fullness to your face. The truth is that as you age, your face quite naturally loses subcutaneous fat and then your facial muscles are working much closer to the surface of your skin and as a result, smile lines and crow’s feet become more apparent resulting in wrinkles and facial lines.
It can also happen that the facial skin also stretches a bit, thus adding to this loss of facial volume. Certain other factors that affect the facial skin, such as sun exposure, heredity, and lifestyle can all contribute to moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds that can be treated with dermal fillers and injectables from New Jersey Plastic Surgery®.
Do you have wrinkles or other signs of aging that you want to correct but aren’t ready to go under the knife? Your dermal filler procedure begins with a facial assessment and mapping to evaluate your facial appearance and skin tone while also examining the regions of your face to be augmented. Strategic points on your face may be marked as the appropriate injection sites for the filler.
Then the injection sites will be cleansed with an antibacterial agent and in certain instances, pain at the injection site may be alleviated by the use of a very cold instrument to chill the skin, anesthetic ointment to numb the skin, or injection of local anesthesia. The injection itself usually takes only a few moments per site, and the process of injecting, massaging, and evaluating the results is performed and additional filler added as needed. Depending on the number of areas to be treated, the whole process may be as short as 15 minutes or as long as an hour.
