Understanding the Different Injectable Treatments
Worried about wrinkles, but strapped for time? Our injectable treatments offer a quick and convenient solution for wrinkles and deep facial lines.
- Botox® is the most popular brand name of botulinum toxin type A. Comparable treatments include Dysport and Xeomin. In 2012, these were the most popular non-surgical cosmetic procedures in America. They are neuromuscular toxins that treat newly formed facial lines. By injecting the solution into the tiny muscles that contract and cause formation of lines, the muscles will relax and wrinkles gradually flatten out.
- HA fillers like Juvederm, Restylane, and Belotero can treat deeper wrinkles and facial lines such as the nasolabial folds or marionette lines. They can also add volume to facial features like your lips.
- Heavier, longer-lasting fillers include Radiesse and Sculptra. These fillers depend on your body’s ability to generate collagen. When injected, the filler creates a framework that stimulates collagenesis and thereby restores facial volume in treated areas.
These minimally invasive treatments can usually be finished within one hour – even on your lunch break. For our busy patients, this is a big advantage.
