If you would like a fuller, shapelier nose but are not ready for cosmetic surgery, then Radiesse® rhinoplasty (“nose job”) may be right for you. Located in Montclair, NJ, New Jersey Plastic Surgery® is pleased to offer Radiesse® rhinoplasty to the residents in and around Bloomfield, Essex County, Morristown and the surrounding communities.
What Is Radiesse® Rhinoplasty?
Most people think of rhinoplasty (“nose job”) as an invasive surgical procedure. Traditionally, they would be correct, but these days, Radiesse® injectable implant offers a way to fill in depressions on the nose, change the angle of the tip, restore symmetry or make the nose appear straighter—all without surgery. Radiesse® is a dermal filler that uses calcium and cellulose to add volume immediately and stimulate the skin to produce more collagen. The results can last for a year or more. When you have the nose you want, your facial symmetry will be more pleasing overall, and you’ll feel more self-confident.
The Best Candidates for Radiesse® Rhinoplasty
Strong candidates are those who want to make small or moderate changes in the shape or angle of their nose and who are not yet ready for cosmetic surgery. Individuals also should have realistic expectations for the outcome of the procedure and be in general good health without a history of bleeding disorders or severe allergies.
Planning Your Radiesse® Rhinoplasty
During your consultation, we will explain how Radiesse® works, answer any questions you may have and customize your Radiesse® treatment for your aesthetic goals. We will work with you to map out the changes you would like to see and discuss the best way to turn those desires into reality.
Preparing for Your Radiesse® Rhinoplasty
Depending on your case, you may be asked to stop taking blood thinners for one week prior to the procedure. If you wish, we can administer lidocaine with the Radiesse® to minimize discomfort. However, many patients find this unnecessary since we apply a topical numbing cream.
The Radiesse® Rhinoplasty Procedure
First, we will apply a topical numbing cream to your nose and wait 20 to 30-minutes for it to take effect. We will place ice on the nose for a stronger numbing effect, then cleanse the nasal area. Radiesse® will be injected precisely at particular points along your nose, depending on the type of correction desired. The injection process takes less than 30 minutes.
How Much Does Radiesse® Rhinoplasty Cost?
The cost of Radiesse® rhinoplasty varies for each patient depending on the treatment goals, extent of change desired and other factors. For your convenience, we accept cash, check, Visa®, Master®Card, American Express® and Discover®. Financing options are available through CareCredit® and AlphaeonTM.
After Your Radiesse® Rhinoplasty
Most patients notice a difference immediately after the procedure, with the effects lasting for a year or more. Avoid exercise and alcohol for the next 24 hours and do not wear heavy sunglasses for one week.
Getting Back to Normal Following Radiesse® Rhinoplasty
As long as you avoid strenuous activity you may resume your normal daily routine. Some patients even choose to return to work immediately following the procedure.
Radiesse® rhinoplasty can reduce depressions in the nasal area or change the shape of your nose for a more pleasing silhouette.
