Also called ‘telangiectasia’, spider veins occur when veins dilate under increased pressure. Spider veins get their name from their web-like, or tree branch shape.
They are red or blue in color and are found closer to the skin’s surface than varicose veins.
What Causes Spider Veins?
Spider veins are often caused by certain hormone fluctuations. For this reason, they are more
common in women than in men. Other risks and factors that can lead to spider veins include:
